Seven stones, one small sky. Each Seven Skies gua sha is built from seven bands of genuine polished stone — red jasper, peach-orange aventurine, golden tiger's eye, green aventurine, speckled sodalite, pyrite-flecked lapis lazuli and violet amethyst — bonded edge to edge, shaped into a smooth oval and finished to a high gloss. Because these are natural stones, band widths and the exact run of color shift a little from piece to piece, so the one that arrives will not be identical to the one in the photograph. That is rather the point. There is no metal, no charm and no tassel here: just stone, curve and light.

Cool in the palm at first, then slowly warm — the way a stone left on a sunny windowsill holds on to the last of the afternoon.

The Crystals

Red Jasper — the deep brick-red band at the root end, opaque and earthy as fired clay. Traditionally associated with grounding, stamina and a steady kind of courage, it is the color that keeps the whole rainbow anchored.

Orange Aventurine — a soft peach-apricot band with a faint sugary sparkle running through it. In crystal lore it is linked with creativity, warmth and the confidence to begin something before you feel ready.

Tiger's Eye — golden-brown and silky, threaded with the chatoyant sheen that slides across the surface as you tilt the stone toward a window. Long associated with focus, clear decisions and self-trust.

Green Aventurine — a cool mint-to-seafoam band, softly translucent at the edges. Believed by many to be a stone of good fortune, generosity and an open, unguarded heart.

Sodalite — mottled blue and white, like weather moving over water. Traditionally tied to honest speech and quiet thinking: the stone people reach for when they want to say the true thing simply.

Lapis Lazuli — deep ultramarine scattered with tiny gold flecks of pyrite, the most jewel-like band on the piece. In crystal lore it belongs to insight, intuition and inner vision.

Amethyst — translucent violet at the crown, glassy and cool where the light catches it. Traditionally associated with calm, stillness and the softening of a busy mind.

How to Use

Begin with clean, dry hands and a stone at room temperature. For a grounding moment, cradle it in your palm with your thumb settled into the shallow groove on the face, close your eyes, and breathe until the stone matches your skin — most people need about a minute. For gentle massage, add a few drops of facial oil or body lotion so the stone glides rather than drags, then sweep the smooth outer edge slowly along the jaw, neck, shoulders or the back of the hand, always working outward with light pressure, and never over broken or irritated skin. After yoga or at the end of a long day, some people prefer to lie back and simply rest it in the center of the chest, letting the weight and the coolness do the settling. Rinse and dry it afterward, and keep it somewhere you will actually see it.
